Hi Everyone! I hope you are well and staying healthy. What a strange time we are living through. Of course COVID-19 has changed the way we are able to enjoy live music -- certainly I was disappointed to cancel all my shows in 2020.
If "one" has to live through a pandemic, however, she might as well break bones as well. In May, I tried my hand at flying on some uncooperative stairs and the unscheduled landing was spectacularly dramatic, to say the least, leaving me with a broken wrist and ankle (pins, screw, surgery groan!!!). My glacial recovery left me so bored and frustrated that I had no other option than to purchase a new Taylor guitar. Now in 2021, I am finally playing guitar again and am so excited to return to performing!

"Even more impressive than Currie's obvious talent as a performer is her genius as a songwriter and lyricist. You will swear, by the end of the night, that a least one of her poetic melodies was written specifically about you." The Tacoma Reporter
"Carolyn Currie has a distinctive voice -- one part Dar Williams, one part Alison Krauss and a smidgeon of Nanci Griffith. But there is no mistaking that haunting, soprano sound. You are under her spell from the first note." Folk & Acoustic Music Exchange by Roberta B. Schwartz
